Insane shit. Finn proposed to her in Yes/No (3x10) - and it was the most bullshit proposal ever, he basically said that he had nothing going for him except her, so marry me maybe? - and then they were going to actually get hitched in On My Way (3x14), despite the efforts of their parents to prevent it, but were halted by Quinn’s car accident (eyeroll), and then it was going to be after they won Nationals (3x21), but in the finale Finn broke their relationship off to go be in the army, and let Rachel’s twue dweams come true in New York.
(Long explanation is long.) It was actually the most ridiculous storyline ever though, and everyone was freaking out about how stupid it was, while the writers lived in their bubble smoking marijuana and throwing darts at a storyboard to see what crazy idea they would force into the story next.
